Today’s guest is author Dan Good. He is a longtime journalist and book ghostwriter. His biography of baseball star Ken Caminiti was published by Abrams Press in May and has been nominated for a Casey Award as one of the year's best baseball books.
He has worked with thought leaders and CEOs to ghostwrite more than a dozen books. His book ghostwriting projects have involved politics, leadership, tech, ethics, and disability inclusion.
Prior to book writing and ghostwriting, Dan was a news editor and reporter at outlets like the New York Daily News, New York Post, ABC News and NBC News.

Our guest in this episode is Dr. Eric J. Simeon. He currently serves as a higher education consultant and researcher, as well as an agent advisor, and has worked in various aspects of higher education for 20 years. He has held multiple student affairs positions at diverse universities around the country, including in campus life, residence life, and as a mentor for student athletes at Power 5 conference universities.
He has been affiliated with urban and rural institutions of all sizes; multiple Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs); and has an expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as NIL and sports marketing. Dr. Simeon earned his B.A and MSW from Stony Brook University in New York. He completed his PhD. in Higher Education Administration at The Pennsylvania State University, and also holds certifications in Negotiation & Conflict Management (U.S. Institute of Peace); Strategic Diversity Leadership (National Inclusive Excellence Leadership Academy); Higher Education Teaching and Curriculum (Harvard University’s Derek Bok Center for Teaching & Learning); in Sports Marketing (Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, and Integrated Marketing Communications); & in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) from Sports Management World Wide (SMWW).Along with his consulting Dr. Simeon also owns his own fan support and lifestyle apparel brand named Big Cat Nation Limited. In this episode, Greg Glynn talks with fellow hockey play-by-play broadcaster Mike Keeley from the Maine Mariners about a wide range of topics including, tips for athletes who want to build their brand and explore broadcasting as a career.
Michael Keeley has been the Media Relations and Broadcast Manager of the Maine Mariners since the team first began in 2018. He serves as the radio play-by-play announcer for the team in addition to handling most of the PR, communications, and media duties within the organization. Michael has been broadcasting sports for over 10 years, getting started with NCAA DIII hockey in 2009, as a freshman at SUNY Oswego. He received his B.A. in Broadcasting and Mass Communication from Oswego in 2013.
Prior to Maine, Michael spent four years working in the NAHL with the Keystone Ice Miners (Connellsville, PA) and Austin Bruins (Austin, MN) while also covering baseball for the Northwoods League's Rochester Honkers (Rochester, MN), where he was named “Announcer of the Year” in 2017.
