As NIL gets the headlines, there are stories behind each athlete. Whether they are in high school or college Athlete First Media is telling the story behind the athlete.
In this episode, Greg Glynn, founder & CEO of Pliable sits down with Gabe Nason to talk about why he started Athletes First Media.
They explored the importance of equal coverage for male and female athletes in Maine, with Gabriel sharing examples of successful interviews and his vision for highlighting individual athletes beyond their sports performance.
Gabriel discussed his initiative to highlight individual athletes rather than just teams, which led him to start a podcast and compile daily sports statistics. He explained that while baseball and softball statistics are relatively easy to gather, track and field requires more effort due to the large number of participants and complex data. Gabriel shared that his passion for sports has evolved over time, with basketball being his favorite as a child and baseball/softball becoming his focus as an adult, though he has developed an appreciation for lacrosse and field hockey through his recent coverage work.
